LONGER THAN SAND
Our crushed glass filtration media does not break down as quickly as traditional media like sand because glass is a vitrified and strong material. Glass also has lighter density than sand, allowing the use of the entire filter bed versus only the top 6" with sand.

Crushed glass filter media can filter down to 5 microns, which is up to 6 times better than sand.

REQUIRED
TruFiltration requires 20% less media in the filter than sand, since glass is less dense. Crushed glass does not pack or channel, which saves water and chemicals during backwashing.
